Searching a Potential Repair

The Advanced Search Options - Potential Repairs page lets you search the repairs that are eligible for a warranty claim in FASTER Web.

Tip

To view the Advanced Search Options - Potential Repairs page, click the Advanced Search Options - Potential Repairs link.

To search the potential repairs

1.    Click the Assets module.

2.    In the Actions section, click Warranty Claims.

3.    Click the Potential Repairs tab.

The Advanced Search Options - Potential Repairs window opens.

4.    Specify the following search parameters:

o      In the Asset Number box, type the asset number.

o      In the Work Order Number box, type the work order number of the asset.

o      In the Asset Organization list, select the asset organization.

o      Select the Exact Match check box if you are sure that you have entered the correct text in the Asset Number, or Work Order Number box.

5.    Click Search.

The Search Results grid displays the potential repairs along with the following information:       

o      Work Order Number

o      Asset Number

o      Asset Organization

o      Repair Description

o      Date Created

6.    In the Action column, click Add next to a potential repair to add a warranty claim to the repair.

Navigation Tips:

  • You can expand or collapse panels by clicking on the arrow to the right of the title bars.
  • You can sort items by any category by clicking on that category's column heading.
  • You can move the panels by clicking and dragging the panel to the desired location.
  • You can move the columns in the data grid by dragging the column heading to the desired location.
  • To page through the list, use the arrows at the top or bottom of the panel. You can also specify here whether to display the entire list or ten items at a time.

Exporting the Search Results Grid

You can export the Search Results grid in the following formats:

·       Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)

·       Microsoft Word (.docx)

·       Comma-Separated Values (.csv)

To export the search results grid

1.    Click the Microsoft Excel ( ), Microsoft Word ( ), or Comma-Separate Value ( ) icon in the upper-right corner of the Search Results grid.

The File Download dialog box opens prompting you to Open, Save, or Cancel.

2.    Click Save.

The Save As dialog box is displayed with the File Type of the selected format.

3.    Browse to the desired location, specify a file name, and then click Save.

The Search Results grid is saved in the specified format at the specified location.
