Selecting Asset

The Select Asset section lets you search and view the basic details of the assets that exists in FASTER Web. You can search for an asset by its Asset Number, VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)/Serial Number, or License Plate Number. After the basic details are displayed, you can further view the detailed information about the asset, search for the existing work orders created for the asset, and also create work order or direct charge for that asset.

Tip

To view the Select Asset page, click the Select Asset link.

To view details of an asset

1.    Click the Assets module.

2.    In the Actions section, click Select Asset.

The Select Asset page opens.

3.    In the Asset Number, VIN/Serial or License Plate box, type an asset number or vehicle identification number or license plate number of the asset.

4.    Click View Details.

5.    The search results are displayed in one of the following ways:

o      If there are multiple asset records matching the search value, the Select Asset dialog box opens. Click the Select link to view the details of the asset.

o      If there is only a single record matching the search value, the basic details of the asset is displayed.

o      If there is no record matching the search value, the Create Assets page is displayed wherein you can create asset in FASTER Web.
