The Custom Report Development Backup Settings section lets you schedule the backup frequency to take a backup of the Custom Report Development folder automatically at predefined hours or days. FASTER Web takes a backup of the Custom Report Development folder and stores in FASTER Web Database.
In the Reports Settings page, the Custom Report Development Backup Settings section is displayed only if the Microsoft Report Builder application hosting scenario value is Hosted centrally on the FASTER Web application server.

Tip
To view the Custom Report Development Backup Settings section, click the Custom Report Development Backup Settings link.
You can modify or update the backup settings of the Custom Report Development folder.
Tip
To view the Edit Custom Report Development Backup Settings page, click the Edit Custom Report Development Backup Settings link.
1. Click the Setup module.
2. In the Application Setup section, do one of the following:
§ Click next to the Reports option, and then click Settings.
§ In the Reports section of Application Setup, click the Settings link.
The Reports Settings page opens.
3. In the Custom Report Development Backup Settings section, click the Edit Custom Report Development Backup Settings link.
The Edit Custom Report Development Backup Settings dialog box opens.
4. In the Schedule option, click one of the following:
§ On - To schedule the backup of custom report development files.
§ Off - To turn off the scheduled backup.
Note: If the Schedule option is set to Off, you can still schedule the backup frequency, for FASTER Web to take backup as soon you set the Schedule option to On.
5. In the Backup Frequency list, select the frequency of backup in hours or days.
For example, if the Backup Frequency is set to 2 hours then system takes the first backup 2 hours after it is set and then sub-sequent backups at every 2 hours.
Note: The Time to Initiate Backup field is displayed, only if the Backup Frequency value is set as days.
6. In the Time to Initiate Backup box, type the time of the day you want to initiate the backup process or select the time from the time picker.
For example, if the Backup Frequency is set to 3 days and Time to Initiate Backup is set to 07:00 hours then FASTER Web takes the first backup at first occurrence of 7AM and then sub-sequent backups at 7AM every 3 days.
7. In the Number Of Backups To Retain box, type a number between 1 to 50, to retain old backups in the FASTER Web DB.
For example, if Number Of Backups To Retain is set to 15, FASTER Web retains the recent 15 backups and deletes the older backup after 15 backups from FASTER Web DB.
