Editing Labor Standard Picklist Value

The Edit Picklist Value dialog box lets you perform the following actions:

·      Modify the existing settings of a labor standard picklist

·      Make the labor standard obsolete

·      Permanently delete the labor standard

Tip

To view the Edit Picklist Value dialog box, click the Edit Picklist Value link.

To edit values of the labor standard picklist field

1.    Open the Maintenance Fields page.

2.    Click the View link next to the Labor Standard field.

The Labor Standard page opens.

3.    Click the Edit link next to a labor standard that you want to edit.

The Edit Picklist Value dialog box opens.

4.    Make changes as required.

Note: The name of the labor standard description is set to read-only.

5.    When finished, click one of the following:

§      Save to save the information and close the dialog box.

§      Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.

§      Make Value Obsolete to hide the picklist value from the Labor Standard list.

§      Delete to permanently delete the picklist value from the Labor Standard list.

Making a Labor Standard Picklist Value Obsolete

The Obsolete Picklist Value dialog box lets you hide the labor standard from the Labor Standard list so that it is not used in future transactions.

Tip

To view the Obsolete Picklist Value dialog box, click the Obsolete Picklist Value link.

To make a picklist value obsolete

1.    Open the Maintenance Fields page.

2.    Click the View link next to the Labor Standard field.

The Labor Standard page opens.

3.    Click the Edit link next to the labor standard that you want to edit.

The Edit Picklist Value dialog box opens.

4.    Click the Make Value Obsolete link.

The Obsolete Picklist Value dialog box opens.

5.    When finished, click one of the following:

§      Yes, Make Value Obsolete to make the value obsolete.

§      Cancel to disregard changes and close the dialog box.

Note: After you make a picklist value obsolete, the Edit Picklist Value dialog box displays the Make Value Available link. You can also make the labor standard available in the Labor Standard list, as required. To make the labor standard available, click the Make Value Available link, and then click Yes, Make Value Available.

Deleting a Labor Standard Picklist Value

The Delete Picklist Value dialog box lets you permanently delete a labor standard from FASTER Web.

Note: You can permanently delete a labor standard only if it is not previously used in FASTER Web transactions. Optionally, you can hide it from future transactions by making the picklist value obsolete.

Tip

To view the Delete Picklist Value dialog box, click the Delete Picklist Value link.

To delete a value permanently from the picklist

1.    Open the Maintenance Fields page.

2.    Click the View link next to the Labor Standard field.

The Labor Standard page opens.

3.    Click the Edit link next to the labor standard that you want to edit.

The Edit Picklist Value dialog box opens.

4.    Click the Delete link.

The Delete Picklist Value dialog box opens.

5.    When finished, click one of the following:

§      Yes, Delete Value to permanently delete the value from the picklist.

§      Cancel to disregard changes and close the dialog box.
