Steps to Add a Quick Assist from Work Order Repair Screen
  1. Click the Quick Assist button to the right of the screen.
  2. Select the appropriate Technician.
  3. If the technician is registered in another shop, click the List Technicians Working in Another Shop button on the right of the screen.

Tip: If you are having difficulty selecting a user on the Login screen, try clicking anywhere on the technician's name except directly on an to select the entry.

Note:

  • The system begins counting your time toward the Assisted repair as soon as you click on the name of the Technician you are assisting.
  • You can begin a quick assist for a work order repair, only if the spending limit for that work order is not exceeded.
  • If the work order cost reaches its limit while you are working on it, the TWSWeb message box is displayed to request authorization for the exceeded spending limit by sending an email to the approver.
  • Only after the spending limit is approved, you can assist another technician.
  • You can quick assist only those technicians for whom the work order spending limit is not exceeded. On the Quick Assist screen, a warning icon is displayed against the name of the technician who has the work order spending limit exceeded.
