Managing Task Steps

In the Tasks section, you can add the steps to the task list. The technicians working on the repair can perform the steps to complete the repair.

Tip

To view the Add Task dialog box, click the Add Task link.

To add task steps

1.    Search and view the task list.

2.    In the Tasks section, click the Add Task Step link.

The Add Task dialog box opens.

3.    In the Task box, type the name of the task.

4.    In the Instruction box, type the instructions to perform the repair.

5.    Click one of the following:

o      Save to save the information and close the dialog box.

o      Save & New to save the information and add another record.

o      Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.

Note:

·       You can reorder the sequence of task steps by clicking the Reorder Task Steps link. Use the Move up and Move down arrows to reorder the task steps.

·       You can remove the task steps from the task list by selecting the task steps and clicking the Remove Selected link.
