Warranty

The Warranty section lets you add warranty to maintain the items of your FASTER Web. A warranty is a written agreement from a vendor to provide services to maintain items.

Adding Item warranty

You can add a warranty by specifying the duration and the vendor service provider of the warranty.

Tip

To view the Add Part Warranty dialog box, click the Add Part Warranty link.

To add a warranty

1.    In the Inventory module, search and view a item record.

2.    In the Price & Warranty tab, click Add New Warranty.

The Add Item Warranty dialog box opens.

3.    In the Warranty Length list, select the length of the warranty.

The length of the warranty can be set to days, weeks, months, or years.

4.    In the Warranty Cycle box, type the duration of the warranty.

Warranty cycle is based on the warranty length selected. For example, to set a warranty period of 1 year, select year in the Warranty Length list, and type 1 in the Warranty Cycle box.

5.    In the Vendor list, select the vendor from whom you want to purchase the warranty.

6.    In the Warranty Description box, type a brief description about the warranty.

7.    Click one of the following:

o      Save to save the information and close the dialog box.

o      Save & New to save the information and add another record.

o      Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.

Editing a Item Warranty

You can edit a warranty to modify or update the warranty details.

To edit a warranty

1.    In the Inventory module, search and view a item record.

2.    In the Price & Warranty tab, click Edit next to a warranty you want to edit.

3.    In the Edit Item Warranty dialog box, make the changes as desired.

4.    Click one of the following:

o      Save to save the information and close the dialog box.

o      Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.

Deleting a Item Warranty

To delete a warranty

1.    In the Inventory module, search and view a item record.

2.    In the Price & Warranty tab, click Edit next to a warranty you want to delete.

3.    In the Edit Item Warranty dialog box, click Delete.

4.    In the Delete Item Warranty dialog box, click one of the following:

o      Yes, Delete Warranty to confirm the deletion.

o      Cancel to close the dialog box.
