Transfer Out

The Transfer Out lets you initiate item transfer. In Transfer Out, you can transfer an item quantity less than or equal to the quantity available in the inventory.

Searching the Item Transfer Out

The Search Transfers - Enter criteria to search items Transferred Out section lets you search item transfers that are issued by the storerooms based on the multiple search options available.

Tip

To view the Search Transfers - Enter criteria to search items Transferred Out page, click the Search Transfers - Enter criteria to search items Transferred Out link.

To search the item transfer out

1.    Click the Inventory module.

2.    In the Actions section, click Transfer In-Out.

The Transfer Out page opens.

3.    In the Search Transfers - Enter criteria to search items Transferred Out section, specify the following search parameters:

o      In the From Storeroom list, select the storeroom that issued the item transfer.

o      In the To Storeroom list, select the storeroom to which the item is transferred.

o      In the Transfer Status list, select the status of item transfer.

o      In the Item Number box, type the item number that is transferred.

o      In the Item Name box, type the item name.

o      In the Start and End fields of Date Out Range, type the date in the MM/DD/YYYY format, or select the date from the calendar.

o      Select the Exact Match check box if you are sure that you have entered the correct text in the Item Number,  or Item Name box.

4.    Click Search.

The Search Results grid displays the items transferred along with the following information:

o      To Strm

o      Trans In FASTER PN

o      Item Name

o      Qty

o      UM

o      Trans Out FASTER PN

o      Date Out

o      Date In

Navigation Tips:

  • To expand or collapse the grids in the search window, click to the right of the title bars.
  • To move the grids in the search window, drag a grid to a desired location. To save the position of the grid, click the icon. The position of the grids will be the same next time you open the search window.
  • To sort the search results displayed in a column by any category, click the column header.
  • To browse through the search results, use the arrows in the upper part or the lower part of the search result grid. You can also specify whether to display the entire search result or ten results at a time.
  • If there are too may results to display, the search returns an error message as The search results exceed the maximum number of records allowed. Only the first ‘x’  records are being shown. Please refine your search criteria if the record for which you are searching is not in the list returned. You must narrow your search to display targeted results.
  • To export the search results to a spreadsheet, word document, or CSV file, click the appropriate export link on the upper-right corner of the search results grid.

 

Exporting the Search Results Grid

You can export the Search Results grid in the following formats:

·       Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)

·       Microsoft Word (.docx)

·       Comma-Separated Values (.csv)

To export the search results grid

1.    Click the Microsoft Excel ( ), Microsoft Word ( ), or Comma-Separate Value ( ) icon in the upper-right corner of the Search Results grid.

The File Download dialog box opens prompting you to Open, Save, or Cancel.

2.    Click Save.

The Save As dialog box is displayed with the File Type of the selected format.

3.    Browse to the desired location, specify a file name, and then click Save.

The Search Results grid is saved in the specified format at the specified location.

Adding an Item Transfer

You can click Add New Transfers to add multiple item transfers.

Tip

To view the Transfer Out Inventory Items dialog box, click the Transfer Out Inventory Items link.

To add an item transfer

1.    Click the Inventory module.

2.    In the Actions section, click Transfer In-Out.

The Transfer Out page opens.

3.    Click Add New Transfers.

The Transfer Out Inventory Items dialog box opens.

4.    The Transfer From Storeroom list displays your default storeroom as the default value. Optionally, select a different storeroom from where you want to transfer the item.

5.    In the Transfer To Storeroom list, select the storeroom where you want to transfer the item.

Note: In the Transfer To Storeroom list, the storeroom that is selected in the Transfer From Storeroom field is not displayed.

6.    In the Transfer From Item Number box, type the item number that you want to transfer.

7.    The Transfer To Item Number displays the same item number that is provided in the Transfer From Item Number field. Optionally, type a different item number.

8.    In the Transfer Qty box, type the quantity that you want to transfer.

9.    The Date Out box, displays the current date, by default. Optionally, type the date in the MM/DD/YYYY format, or select the date from the calendar.

10.  In the Transfer Out Comment box, type a brief description about the item transfer.

11.  Click Verify and Transfer Item to verify that the item number exists in the selected storeroom and then transfer the item to the storeroom.

Note:

·       The Transfer From Item Number must exist in FASTER Web under the selected Transfer From Storeroom. A warning message indicating the item number does not exist in FASTER Web is displayed.

·       If you have entered a Transfer To Item Number different from the Transfer From Item Number, the Transfer To Item Number must exist in FASTER Web under the selected Transfer To Storeroom. A warning message indicating the item number does not exist in FASTER Web is displayed. Also an Add Similar Item link is displayed to add a new item before the transfer out process. For more information on adding an item, refer to Adding Item Details.

The Transferred Items section displays the transferred item.

Note:

·       You can export the Transferred Items grid in the following formats:

  • Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)

  • Microsoft Word (.docx)

  • Comma-Separated Values (.csv)

·       Click Close if you want to close the dialog box. Once you close the Transfer Out Inventory Items dialog box and reopen it by clicking the Add New Transfers button, the Transferred Items section does not display the history of items transferred.

Returning Item Transfers to Inventory

You can return the quantity of item issued in the item transfer to inventory when the item transfer is in In Progress status, or in Rejected status.

To return an item transfer to inventory

1.    On the Transfer Out page, search the item transfer.

2.    In the Search Results grid, select the item transfers that you want to return to inventory.

Note: You can click the Select/Deselect All link to select or clear all the search results.

3.    Click the Return Selected to Inventory link.

The items are returned to inventory.
