Searching Vendors

The search functionality available in the Vendor module helps you to find the vendors in FASTER Web. The search results display records matching the search value anywhere in the vendor name or vendor code.

Note:

The search functionality on the Vendors module supports partial matches. For example, a search for A1 displays the records containing A1 anywhere in the vendor name such as, A1 Auto, A1 Vendor and in the vendor code, such as A16849 and A1236.
You can select the Exact Match check box to get an exact match with your search parameter.

Tip

To view the Search Vendors page, click the Search Vendors link.

Steps to perform a vendor search

In the Search Vendors section, in the By Vendor Name or Code box, type a whole or partial vendor name and vendor code.
Press Enter or click Search ().

Note: To narrow the search results based on multiple search parameters, click the Advanced Search link.

The search results are displayed in one of the following ways:

If there is only one result that matches the search value, the Vendor details page opens.
If there are multiple results that match the search value, the Advanced Search Options - Vendor window opens. Narrow the search results using the advanced search options, and then click View link next to a vendor to display the Master tab.
