Setting the Begin FY Meter Readings

The Begin FY Meter Readings tab lets you set meter readings after you update the fiscal month. You can set the Begin FY Meter Readings, if you have changed the fiscal month or the previously set fiscal month has passed. In the Begin FY Meter Readings History, you can view the history of the meter readings set manually or automatically in the past along with the updated fiscal month.

Note: You must have the Add and View permissions to view and set the meter readings.

Tip

To view the Begin FY Meter Readings page, click the Begin FY Meter Readings link.

 To set the Begin FY Meter Readings

1. Click the Accounting module.
2. In the Actions section, click the Manage Closeout Processes.

The Closeout Processes page opens.

3.    Click the Begin FY Meter Readings tab.

The Begin FY Meter Readings History section is displayed.

4.    Click the Set Begin FY Meter Readings button.

Note: The Set Begin FY Meter Readings button is enabled, only if you have the Begin FY Meter Readings Add permission, and if a fiscal month is updated but not the meter readings. A message to set the begin FY meter readings is displayed above the Set Begin FY Meter Readings button.

The Reset FY Begin Meter Readings dialog box opens.

5. Do one of the following:

• Select a time zone that is used to translate the meter transaction date and time when identifying year end readings, and then click Confirm.

Note: The Set Begin FY Meter Readings button is disabled after you update the meter readings manually or automatically. A message that the Begin FY Meter Readings have been updated is displayed above the Set Begin FY Meter Readings button.

·      Click Cancel, if you do not want to change the meter readings.
