Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) lets users to access FASTER Web and its associated applications using their Microsoft Active Directory credentials. This method is primarily used when the FASTER Web Application Server is hosted on cloud and FASTER Web cannot directly connect to the Active Directory server to authenticate users.
When using AD FS Authentication mode, users can sign in to FASTER Web and MotorPool (if purchased) applications from the main logon page using the following types of logon:
· AD FS Logon: Using AD FS Authentication, most users will log into FASTER Web using their Active Directory (AD) login. With AD FS, users do not enter their login information directly into FASTER Web, instead they are redirected to the AD FS logon page by the AD FS server URL.
• Application Logon: It is necessary to provide access to users who do not have an Active Directory login. For those users, a link is provided that opens the FASTER Web login screen where a user can login using FASTER Web credentials.
Pre-requisites:
Configured instance of AD FS 2019 or above
Installed instance of FASTER Web
